Founded in service

The CHI National Foundation

By championing philanthropic investments aligned with CHI’s mission, we help provide for the people living in our communities. Through comprehensive training and coaching, direct service to foundations and spreading best practices, we can make a real impact in people’s lives. With over 100 hospitals in our system, we can leverage our size and experience to improve the health and well-being of the broad populations we serve.

Our priorities

Mission and Ministry Fund

Call us do-gooders, but we are on a mission to create a healthier place for us all to live. The purpose of this fund is to provide resources for the planning, development and implementation of new healthy community initiatives. Grants are awarded annually for proposals with a focus on creating healthy communities, violence prevention and promoting CHI’s global health projects. The Mission and Ministry Fund is a hallmark of our spirit of innovation and dedication to creating a better world.

Precision Medicine Alliance

Too many cancer patients do not have access to a sophisticated level of care, and the uninsured costs of testing make it impossible for some to seek the treatment they need. That’s why the Precision Medicine Alliance raises funds that provide patients with financial assistance related to cancer screening. Precision cancer screening allows physicians to identify the most effective medical intervention for a patient’s condition and our goal is to bring this level of care to every patient in need.

Total Health Roadmap

Advocating for our patients’ total well-being sometimes means helping them with non-clinical needs too. The Total Health Roadmap is a comprehensive program designed to bring partners in the community together to address a patient’s non-clinical issues in addition to connecting them with resources to improve their immediate health. Understanding and addressing the impact of various social factors is essential to providing equitable, effective and high-quality health care.  And it’s the right thing to do.
