Women’s Hospital at Saint Joseph East Welcomes First Baby of 2018
The Women’s Hospital at Saint Joseph East, Lexington, part of KentuckyOne Health, welcomed its first baby of 2018 at 5:48 a.m. on Jan. 1. Bryce Barron and Jaleigha York of Berea, KY, welcomed Letty Jae Barron. She weighed 5 pounds, 10 ounces and was 18.5 inches long.
Each year, hospital staff work to create a special welcome experience for the 2018 New Year’s baby and family. This year, the hospital presented the family with gift certificates to local restaurants, baby care items, books, toys, clothing, and a grocery gift certificate.
“This is something we look forward to each year,” said Dana Brundon, director, Surgical & Women’s Services. “We are thrilled to help make this arrival so special for this family. We are privileged to be part of each new beginning, and it is an honor to care for every family.”
