TriHealth Announces Partnership with Mayfield Brain & Spine

06/05/17

TriHealth, Cincinnati, OH, is creating a comprehensive neuroscience institute in partnership with Mayfield Brain & Spine, a world leader in neurologic surgery. The institute will provide state-of-the-art surgical care for the brain, head, neck and spine, as well as advanced stroke care.

The two organizations have been collaborating for nearly 80 years, and this latest advancement will enhance patient access to comprehensive, integrated neurologic care. The institute brings together clinicians, technology and facilities from Mayfield Brain & Spine, TriHealth Physician Partners and TriHealth’s neuroradiology and neuropathology departments. The neuroscience institute will serve as a destination Center of Excellence for neurologic and neurosurgical care, offering a single point of access to a full continuum of neurological services and treatment.

TriHealth will invest in equipment, specialized staff and facilities to expand upon an already robust neuroscience program. A new neuroscience intensive care and step-down unit will be built at Good Samaritan Hospital. TriHealth will also invest in new, state-of-the-art diagnostic, surgical navigation and surgical technologies to ensure patients receive the latest methods of neurologic and neurosurgical care and treatment.
