Saint Joseph Martin Encourages Physical Activity with Walking Club
Saint Joseph Martin, part of KentuckyOne Health, has teamed with local organizations to encourage people to improve their health through physical activity. Saint Joseph Martin, the Floyd County Health Department and the Floyd County Diabetes Coalition are hosting a free Walking Club each Tuesday through September.
Out of 120 Kentucky counties, the County Health Rankings & Roadmaps program lists Floyd County 115th for overall health outcomes. The Walking Club is designed to help residents in Martin and neighboring communities work toward better health and provide a safe place to walk in a group setting. The club is free and open to all community members.
