Hall of Fame Football Pro Educates About Joint Pain
Saint Joseph Hospital, Lexington, part of KentuckyOne Health, helped educate the community about joint pain during a free seminar on April 26. The featured guest speaker was Jerome Bettis, a former football player for the Pittsburgh Steelers, known during his career as “The Bus.”
The Hall of Fame running back spoke about his personal experience with joint pain and treatment. “I understand it because I've gone through it,” he said. “I can lend a supportive voice to say, hey, I know exactly how you are feeling. So, I become not this guy who played in the NFL, but a guy who is having the same issues and suffering through the same pains that they are.”
