CHI Health Patients Can Find a Provider Match Online

CHI Health has launched MyProviderMatch.com, the only tool of its kind in Nebraska. The website matches prospective patients with a selection of compatible health care providers based on answers to a few simple questions. The site includes family, women’s and internal medicine provider profiles with information on their education, experience and interests, along with an appointment request feature.
“When patients have a good relationship with their doctors, where they feel comfortable sharing important and sometimes sensitive health information, they’re more likely to take advantage of preventive health services and keep chronic conditions under control,” said Kimberly Perrin, director of operations at CHI Health Good Samaritan Clinics and CHI Health Kearney Clinic.
About 60 million people in the U.S., or about one in five, report not having a regular doctor or clinic for medical care. “That’s why we’re exploring different types of ways to help people find a doctor,” said Perrin.
