300th Lung Transplant Celebrated at Jewish Hospital

Jewish Hospital, Louisville, KY, and the University of Louisville are celebrating a significant milestone: the 300th lung transplant performed at the hospital’s Trager Transplant Center. Jewish Hospital and UofL physicians have been performing transplant procedures at the hospital since 1953, and it is among the leading centers for organ transplantation. Physicians and lung transplant recipients gathered on Sept. 27, to officially announce the 300th transplant and celebrate the many lives saved over the years thanks to organ transplantation.
