  • CHI’s Lofton Named to List of “Top Minorities in Healthcare” by National Magazine

    Kevin E. Lofton, Chief Executive Officer of Catholic Health Initiatives, has been named by Modern Healthcare magazine as one of the “Top 25 Minorities Executives in Healthcare.” Lofton, who has led CHI for more than a decade, has been named to all five biennial listings of top minority health care executives since the magazine began the exclusive.

  • CHI Health at Home Locations Named HomeCare Elite for 2017

    CHI Health at Home, the national home health provider for CHI, has 16 home care agencies in the 2017 HomeCare Elite, a recognition of excellence from the National Research Corporation and DecisionHealth. HomeCare Elite annually identifies the top 25% of all Medicare-certified agencies across in the country, as well as the top 100 and top 500.

  • CHI Memorial Introduces “Breathe Easy” Mobile Lung CT Coach

    CHI Memorial, Chattanooga, TN, introduced a new, mobile way to screen for lung cancer. ‘Breathe Easy’ is a motor coach equipped with a low-dose computed tomography (CT) machine. This technology is the first of its kind in the Chattanooga region, and it’s the only fully independent unit in the nation.

  • CHI Hospitals Achieve 5-Star Ratings

    Five CHI hospitals received a 5-Star Overall Hospital Rating, the highest possible, from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for quality of care. Only 337 hospitals nationwide received a 5-Star rating, which is based on hospital inpatient and outpatient quality program data.

  • Record Number of Organs Transplanted at Jewish Hospital

    More than 150 lives were saved in 2017 thanks to a record-breaking number of organs transplanted at the Jewish Hospital Trager Transplant Center, a joint program of the University of Louisville School of Medicine and KentuckyOne Health.

  • Saint Joseph East Named Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery

    The Surgical Review Corporation named Saint Joseph East, Lexington, part of KentuckyOne Health, a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery. Saint Joseph East is the only hospital in central Kentucky to receive this designation, which is based on patient volume, outcomes and the types of procedures offered.

  • A Special Visit to the Original Saint Joseph Hospital

    A recent retreat attended by nursing leaders from three KentuckyOne Health hospitals in the Lexington area – Saint Joseph Hospital, Saint Joseph East and Saint Joseph Jessamine – included a surprise visit to 320 Linden Walk in Lexington, where the original Saint Joseph Hospital opened in 1876.
