Our Core Values and the associated cultural attributes provide an extraordinary framework for the CHI Supplier Diversity program. As we serve the health care needs of many diverse people and communities across the U.S., we will develop business partnerships with local, regional and national business enterprises that are owned and operated by women, ethnic minorities and service-disabled veterans certified by the National Minority Supplier Development Council, Inc.

The short-term goal of CHI’s Supplier Diversity program is to increase the opportunity for certified suppliers to participate as CHI business partners.  During the next few years, CHI will align more closely with supplier diversity best practices and strive to become a leader in supplier diversity as part of our overall business strategy. This is consistent with our Mission and Vision to improve the health of the people and communities we serve while pioneering models and systems of care to enhance care delivery.

Our goal is to manifest our commitment to social justice by aligning supplier diversity with our Mission and position CHI as a health care industry leader in supplier diversity by 2015.

Core Values Lead Our Behavior

Embedded in the Core Value of Reverence is the cultural attribute of Hospitality: our culture is one in which a diversity of people and points of view are welcomed, respected and celebrated.

Rooted in the Core Value of Integrity is the cultural attribute of Stewardship: our culture is one in which resources – earthly, human, financial, philanthropic, material – are carefully cultivated as precious gifts entrusted to us.

Rooted in the Core Value of Compassion is the cultural attribute of Justice: our culture is characterized by advocacy on behalf of those who are disadvantaged or deprived of access, including employees, and both local and international communities.

Embedded in the Core Value of Excellence is the cultural attribute of Innovation: our culture is characterized by courage to challenge assumptions and develop potential in order to continually transform.
