The common good needs a champion

More than ever, our world needs compassion. Our communities need caring and our families need support. To meet these challenges, CommonSpirit Health® is committed to building healthy communities by advocating for those who are poor and vulnerable, and innovating how and where healing can happen.

Building a nation of healthy communities

Formed in 2019 through the alignment of Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health, CommonSpirit® is one of the largest nonprofit health systems in the U.S., with more than 1,000 care sites in 21 states coast to coast, serving 20 million patients in big cities and small towns across America.

We believe in the power of humankindness

At CommonSpirit, humankindness means inspiring change in health care that leads to more empathy, listening, and respect - because we believe that humanity holds the power to heal.

The common good needs bold ideas

Unequal access to care. A global pandemic. Racial injustice. Homelessness. Our communities need bold solutions to our most pressing challenges, which require the kind of scale and resources a national health system like CommonSpirit can provide.

We are committed to health equity, and through community programs and innovative technologies, we are addressing the social issues and root causes that can lead to poor health.
