Saint Joseph Health System (SJHS), Lexington, KY, launched an online quality report at www.saintjosephquality.org. SJHS is just the second health system in the state to offer the public full access to information about the organization’s performance. “By sharing this information so openly, we hope to give consumers power in their decision-making,” said Gene Woods, CEO of SJHS. “This information will also be used by our staff and physicians to further improve our patient care processes and share best practices among our hospitals.” Consumers can access performance information for all SJHS facilities on the saintjosephquality.org website, which will be updated quarterly. Visitors to the site can also search the information by medical condition or surgical procedure.
