Mercy Cancer Center Receives Three-Year Accreditation

The American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer extended its accreditation of the Mercy Cancer Center at Mercy Medical Center, Des Moines, IA, for an additional three years. Mercy’s cancer program also received special commendation in several areas, including outreach and staff education. The Commission on Cancer approval process is a rigorous review of services in which strict standards of care must be met. Approval is given only to facilities dedicated to providing the highest quality of cancer care for patients and their families.
