Good Samaritan Interim CEO Leaving for COO Position

Steve Loveless, interim CEO of Good Samaritan Hospital, Kearney, NE, will resign to accept a position as COO with St. Edward Mercy Medical Center, Fort Smith, AR. A search for a new CEO for Good Samaritan has been underway and is expected to take several months. Loveless was in the process of interviewing for the St. Edward Mercy position prior to being named interim CEO of Good Samaritan in October 2009. He was a candidate for Good Samaritan’s CEO position but said the move to a COO role is a better fit for his career path.
