New oncology services offered at Good Samaritan in Merrill

Good Samaritan Health Center, Merrill, Wis., is offering new diagnostic and outpatient chemotherapy services to cancer patients. An oncologist from the University of Wisconsin Cancer Center sees patients at Good Samaritan each Wednesday and directs chemotherapy treatments that are administered Monday through Friday by specially trained nurses. "This new and expanded service brings cancer treatment close to home, which will reduce the need for patients to travel," said Judy Buchler, vice president of patient care at Good Samaritan.
