Catholic Health Initiatives’ Fifth Anniversary: A Time to Celebrate

Members of the Catholic Health Initiatives family, market-based and national leaders, members of the founding congregations and other friends of the organization gathered in Denver on June 21 to celebrate the fifth anniversary of Catholic Health Initiatives. The event also marked the 10th anniversary of the Catholic Health Care Federation and featured the presentation of the 2001 Mission and Ministry Fund project and planning grants.

Several of those present spoke to the group about what the fifth anniversary of Catholic Health Initiatives meant to them. The speakers included Ruth Brinkley, senior vice president of performance management; Patricia Cahill, president and chief executive officer; Maryanna Coyle, SC, chair of the Board of Stewardship Trustees; Mike Fordyce, chief administrative officer; Mary Ellen Murphy, SC, chair of the Members of Catholic Health Initiatives; SharRay Palm, president and chief executive officer of LakeWood Health Center, Baudette, Minn.; and Jeff Pederson, president and chief executive officer of Villa Nazareth, Fargo, N.D. Mitch Melfi, senior vice president and chief risk officer, delivered the anniversary toast.
