Sinnott Resigns From Catholic Health Initiatives

Daniel J. Sinnott has resigned his position as senior vice president of operations for Catholic Health Initiatives, effective September 30. Sinnott was named senior vice president of operations in April 1999. Prior to that, he served as president and chief executive officer of St. Agnes Medical Center and Nazareth Hospital, Philadelphia, Pa., and St. Francis Hospital, Wilmington, Del. "Dan has made extraordinary contributions to Catholic Health Initiatives," said Kevin Lofton, executive vice president and chief operating officer. "He successfully led two of the more difficult decisions confronted by Catholic Health Initiatives during the past two years – the sale of St. Joseph Hospital in Lancaster, Pa., and the transfer of sponsorship of five market-based organizations in the greater Philadelphia area. These transitions have been accomplished with great competence, commitment and reverence for our values and heritage, which is consistent with Dan’s leadership style." Sinnott will continue in his position until September 30 to help conclude a smooth transition of facilities to Catholic Health East. Sinnott’s resignation results in the following changes in market-based organization reporting relationships: Market-based Organization -- Senior Vice President, Operations Memorial Health System, Chattanooga, Tenn. -- Deborah Lee-Eddie St. John’s Regional Medical Center, Joplin, Mo. -- Dave Goode St. Joseph Health Ministries, Lancaster, Pa. -- Jim Kaskie St. Joseph Medical Center, Reading, Pa. -- Jim Kaskie St. Joseph Medical Center, Towson, Md. -- Jim Kaskie
