Jones, Leurck and Stumbo take new leadership roles in Kentucky
Lowell Jones has been named vice president of government relations — Kentucky for Catholic Health Initiatives. He was previously president and chief executive officer of Marymount Medical Center, London, Ky., and Our Lady of the Way Hospital, Martin, Ky. In his new role, he will assist Catholic Health Initiatives and its five market-based organizations in Kentucky to address state government regulatory matters and statewide health care issues.
Stephen Leurck has been named interim president and chief executive officer of Marymount Medical Center. Leurck has more than 30 years of experience in health care administration and most recently served as president and chief executive officer of St. Anthony Medical Center in Crown Point, Ind. He is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, and started his career at Good Samaritan Hospital there. He has a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from the University of Cincinnati and a master’s degree in health care administration from Xavier University in Cincinnati.
Kathy Stumbo has been promoted to president and chief executive
officer of Our Lady of the Way Hospital. She joined the hospital in 1992 as associate administrator and became vice president and chief operating officer in 1996. Stumbo holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Kentucky.
