New Handbook Guides Public Policy Advocacy Activities

Catholic Health Initiatives has published a new public policy advocacy handbook for use by organizational leaders who wish to become more involved in this area of advocacy, which focuses on achieving systemic change through legislative, regulatory and political activism. "Involvement in public policy advocacy provides Catholic Health Initiatives with the opportunity to shape future directions in health and social policy within the United States and to respond to current policy initiatives," said Colleen Scanlon, RN, JD, senior vice president of advocacy for Catholic Health Initiatives.

The handbook explains Catholic Health Initiatives’ commitment to advocacy and provides a variety of tools, tips and guidelines for action.
