Stephen Mansfield has been named president and chief executive officer of St. Vincent Health System, Little Rock, Ark. Prior to joining St. Vincent, Mansfield served as administrator and chief executive officer of Baptist Memorial Hospital-East, a division of Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation (BMHCC) of Memphis, Tenn. Mansfield joined BMHCC in 1977 and held increasingly responsible positions within the organization.

"Steve has achieved impressive results at Baptist Memorial by enhancing quality of care, operational performance and customer satisfaction," said Jim Kaskie, senior vice president of operations for Catholic Health Initiatives. "He is clearly an employee advocate with the skills and aptitudes that are required to unite an organization around a common caring. Steve will bring that same focus to St. Vincent."

Mansfield has a bachelor’s degree in health care administration from Ottawa University, Ottawa, Kan., and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee at Martin.
