Tiger cub saved by Mercy Hospital in Devils Lake

Quick action by emergency room staff at Mercy Hospital, Devils Lake, N.D., saved the life of an unusual patient: a baby tiger that was en route to Montana. Kenny Hetrick, an exotic animal farmer from Stony Ridge, Ohio, brought the cub to the emergency room for treatment when the tiger became dehydrated. Hetrick and the staff administered an intravenous solution to save the tiger, which was near death. "Everyone was so helpful," said Hetrick. "They saved that little tiger’s life."
