CHI Hospitals Earn Grade of A for Safety


A dozen CHI hospitals were recognized with an “A” Hospital Safety Score for spring 2013 by The Leapfrog Group, the independent, national nonprofit that administers the score. The Spring 2013 update to the Hospital Safety Score assigned grades of A, B, C, D or F to more than 2,500 general hospitals in the U.S. based on rates of preventable medical errors, injuries, accidents and infections.
