CHI's Work on Nursing Theory, Population Health Featured in Health Progress

The January-February 2013 issue of Health Progress, the journal of the Catholic Health Association, includes two articles on CHI. The cover story, "Catholic Health Systems Steer the New Course," features Christopher Stanley, MD, vice president for care management, on efforts toward improving the health of populations. A second article describes CHI’s recent evaluation and selection of approved nursing theories and how they integrate with the system’s Catholic identity. “Syncing Nursing Theories with Catholic Identity,” was written by Patrick Gaughan, vice president of CHI’s Center for Formation; Carl Middleton, vice president of theology and ethics; and Pat Patton, vice president of clinical innovation and leadership development.
