CHI Unites with Faith-Based Organizations to Urge Response to National Gun Violence
As part of its continuing commitment to violence prevention, CHI is joining with many other faith-based organizations – including the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and the Catholic Health Association – to urge political leaders to confront gun violence in this nation. CHI signed on to a letter that will be sent to the President and all members of Congress calling for legislative action. CHI recognizes that societal violence is very complex and that other issues such as adequate mental health services and violence in the media must also be addressed. CHI remains committed to actively working to address the public health crisis of violence that profoundly impacts the children, families and communities we serve.
