Board Approves Advocacy Priorities for 2013-14

CHI's Advocacy Priorities for 2013-14 have been approved by the Board of Stewardship Trustees following an extensive identification, review and recommendation process involving a wide range of CHI leaders. As CHI's advocacy priorities have been refined over multiple years, the priority issues have remained fairly consistent, with Access and Coverage for All continuing as CHI's highest priority. This priority, along with Clinically Integrated Care; Quality, Value and Fair Payment; Preservation of Charitable Purpose; Rural Health Care; and Violence Prevention will be a significant focus of CHI's advocacy efforts. However, advocacy activities will not be limited to the priority issues. CHI will continue to monitor additional issues that affect the health and well-being of the communities we serve. CHI will continue its commitment to advocacy at the local, state and national levels as it advances the mission of building healthy communities and serving as a voice for persons who are most vulnerable.
