Good Samaritan in Kearney Opens Heart Center
Good Samaritan Hospital, Kearney, NE, held a dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony for its completed expansion project, including the new Ron and Carol Cope Heart Center. The public was invited to attend the dedication, led by the Most Reverend William J. Dendinger, bishop of the Grand Island Diocese. The $63 million expansion project includes new operating rooms equipped for open heart surgery, three cardiac catheterization labs, a new kitchen and two-story dining room, a new front lobby and other spaces for hospital services, patient comfort and staff support. The Ron and Carol Cope Heart Center, established with a $1 million gift from the Ron and Carol Cope Foundation, also includes a full non-invasive cardiovascular testing area.
