TriHealth Achieves Magnet Recognition

The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) has given Magnet Recognition for excellence in nursing care to TriHealth, Cincinnati, OH. Magnet status is given, to hospitals that satisfy a set of criteria designed to measure the strength and quality of the nursing care provided at their locations. The Magnet Recognition program recognizes. hospitals for quality patient care, nursing excellence and innovations in professional nursing practice. Appraisers look at a combination of factors and best practices in order to evaluate the culture of care at a given institution. They award Magnet status for a collaborative, interdisciplinary team approach to care that recognizes nursing as a vital part of the team. Less than 7% of hospitals nationwide have achieved Magnet status.
