Fargo Division Ships Supplies to the Philippines
To help the new Indigenous People’s Hospital in Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines, prepare for opening on May 18, CHI’s Fargo Division shipped more than $120,000 worth of supplies and equipment that will be used to provide care to impoverished tribal people in a remote region of the country. With the help of a grant from the Mission and Ministry Fund that covered the cost of shipping, the Fargo Division’s International Mission Program partnered with MedShare, a medical equipment recovery and redistribution organization, to acquire needed supplies. In March, MedShare loaded 1,174 boxes of supplies and equipment into a 40-foot shipping container, which was loaded on a cargo ship bound for the Philippines. A short video about the project can be viewed on YouTube.
