Centura Expands Stroke Care Network

Colorado

Centura Health announced an expansion of the Centura Health Stroke Network through the addition of telestroke. Telestroke uses high-speed network videoconferencing and image-sharing technology to connect care providers at remote rural facilities with stroke teams to rapidly assess and treat patients showing signs of stroke. Mercy Regional Medical Center, Durango, is the first hospital in Centura’s statewide network to use telestroke to connect with neurologists at Littleton Adventist Hospital, an acute certified stroke center.
