CHI Launches 2012 Voter Education Campaign

All CHI organizations are encouraged to engage in voter education activities for this year’s elections by participating in our nonpartisan “My Voice, My Vote” campaign. The goal of My Voice, My Vote is to encourage everyone in CHI to exercise their rights as citizens by registering to vote, becoming informed about candidates and issues, and voting in primary and general elections. Catholic social teaching calls on all citizens to actively participate in the political process as a means to defend human dignity, care for the poor and vulnerable and promote the common good. My Voice, My Vote supports that objective.

MBO CEOs are encouraged to designate a local liaison to lead the effort at their organizations and to provide your liaison names to Laura Krausa. Posters, flyers, draft communications, registration and candidate information, and tools and resources are available on the My Voice, My Vote pages of Inside CHI. For more information, read a letter from Kevin Lofton.
