CHI Facilities Featured in Community Connections

Three CHI facilities are included in the newest edition of the American Hospital Association’s Community Connections: Ideas and Innovations for Hospital Leaders, which highlights programs across the nation that are promoting health, improving access to care and meeting the needs of local communities. The CHI facilities and programs featured in the 38-page booklet are:

  • Carrington Health Center, Carrington, ND, which launched “Faith in Action” in 2009 as a volunteer-based program to assist residents with long-term disabilities or illness.
  • Jewish Hospital & St. Mary’s HealthCare, Louisville, KY, which provides free weekly nutrition and diabetes care to patients in a rural clinic that serves the uninsured.
  • St. Joseph’s Hospital and Health Center, Dickinson, ND, which provides free wellness services, health screenings and educational seminars for people 55 and older through its “Silver Prestige Club.”
