CHI Nebraska kicked off its “Nebraska Hearts Beat Strong” campaign by distributing 30,000 blinking red heart lights in conjunction with the University of Nebraska vs. Ohio State University football game on Oct. 8. The reusable lights can be worn during heart-friendly outdoor activities, such as walking, bicycling or running. Each light was accompanied by an information card with tips on heart-healthy tailgate party foods, heart attack warning signs and the symptoms of heart disease. The promotion celebrated the recent addition of Nebraska Heart to CHI’s network of health care organizations in Nebraska.
