Franciscan Raises Heart Attack Awareness for Women
The Franciscan Foundation was awarded a $10,000 contract by the national Office on Women's Health for Franciscan Health System to lead the "Make the Call, Don't Miss a Beat" heart attack awareness campaign in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Alaska. The campaign is designed to educate women on the seven heart attack symptoms that most commonly present themselves in women. Research shows that only half of women would call 9-1-1 if they thought they were having a heart attack, and fewer know the most common symptoms for women. More information is available on the St. Joseph Heart and Vascular Center page of Franciscan's website.
