Ribbon Cut, Blessing Given at St. Elizabeth Hospital
Franciscan Health System held ribbon-cutting and blessing ceremonies at St. Elizabeth Hospital on Jan. 14-15 in anticipation of the hospital's official opening on Feb. 2. Nearly 350 people attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony and toured the 94,000-square-foot critical access hospital, a replacement for Enumclaw Regional Hospital, on Jan. 14. The next day, more than 1,000 community members were present for a blessing by Archbishop J. Peter Sartain and an open house. The new hospital includes 25 private patient rooms, a 24-hour emergency department with a rooftop helipad, a birth center and state-of-the-art operating rooms.
