St. Vincent Seeks to Reduce Violence in Little Rock
Little Rock, AR
St. Vincent Health System is in partnership with Arkansas Baptist College, the City of Little Rock, the police and the public school district to expand the O.K. (Our Kids) Program to Forest Heights Middle School and Hall High School. The O.K. Program is a law enforcement-based mentoring program that fosters partnerships between police, schools, community and faith communities to provide positive guidance and support to young African-American males. The program focuses on reducing high rates of homicide and incarceration among African-American males aged 12 to 18. The Clinton School of Public Service will also be working with St. Vincent at Forest Heights during the school year. For more information, contact Margaret Preston.
