St. Mary’s Receives $1.5 Million in Grants
St. Mary’s Healthcare Center received $1.5 million in funding over three years from the Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust. The grants will fund implementation of a new electronic intensive care (eICU) remote monitoring system and a state-of-the-art digital mammography system. The eICU system will provide St. Mary’s with 24-hour a day access to critical care physicians at Avera McKennan Hospital, Sioux Falls, SD. The new mammography equipment will provide women in central South Dakota with access to high-quality digital screenings that can now be obtained only by traveling hundreds of miles. The funding is part of the Helmsley Trust’s Rural Health Program. For more information, contact Amanda Greslin, email@example.com.
