CHI Contribution Helps Haiti Earthquake Victims


Immediately after the devastating Haiti earthquake of January 12, CHI made a $40,000 contribution to two Catholic organizations that have ongoing relief efforts there. The donation was sent to the Catholic Medical Mission Board (CMMB) and Catholic Relief Services (CRS) to provide basic health and human services to people affected by the damage from the earthquake. CMMB is a U.S.-based Catholic charity focused on global health care. Colleen Scanlon, senior vice president of advocacy for CHI, serves on the CMMB board of directors. CRS is the international humanitarian agency of the Catholic community in the U.S. CHI employees and others who wish to make a personal contribution may send checks, payable to “CHI National Office – Haiti Relief,” to:
