Good Samaritan Receives Quest for Excellence Award
Good Samaritan Hospital received the 2009 Quest for Excellence award from the Nebraska Hospital Association and other Nebraska organizations. The Quest for Excellence Award showcases exemplary, reproducible models of patient care and recognizes hospitals for their quality improvement achievements. Using LEAN methodology, Good Samaritan created a sustainable solution to improving the quality of patient care in its emergency department. The project reduced the amount of time patients wait to be evaluated by a physician or allied health professional. Both patient and employee satisfaction improved as a result.
