Mercy in Durango Rated Fourth in Colorado
Mercy Regional Medical Center rated fourth among 48 Colorado hospitals in a report released by Consumer Reports. The data used in the ratings is from the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) surveys administered by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. The surveys are a measure of patient satisfaction with aspects of their hospital care, including communication with doctors and nurses, hospital cleanliness, pain management and more. Mercy scored in the 95-100% range in both the doctor communication and nurse communication categories.
