Alegent Health Ranks High for Quality

Omaha, NE

For the fourth consecutive year, Alegent Health was a top performer in the Hospital Quality Incentive Demonstration project of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Since 2003, the study has tracked process and outcomes measures at more than 250 hospitals around the country. This year, Bergan Mercy Medical Center ranked in the top 10 hospitals in the study. All of Alegent Health’s hospitals scored at least 94 percent in all study categories, including care for acute myocardial infarction, heart failure, coronary artery bypass graft, pneumonia and hip/knee replacement. As a result of its high scores, Alegent Health will receive $276,925 in incentive payments from CMS.
