St. Joseph Announces New Phase of Powered by Me!
St. Joseph Medical Center, Towson, MD, announced phase two of PASS (Parent Awareness of Steroids and Supplements) education, part of its Powered by Me! program to raise awareness of the dangers of steroid and performance-enhancing supplement use. Phase two of PASS will include information that will help parents discuss the dangers of anabolic steroids and energy drinks with student athletes, and a Web site that features easy-to-access information for families. “We cannot be truly successful in the battle against performance-enhancing drugs without the participation of parents,” said Elijah Cummings, congressional representative from Maryland, who supports the Powered by Me! program.
