A 17-foot bronze statue of Joseph the Worker hangs on the exterior of St. Joseph Medical Center’s light- and nature-filled expansion, which houses a three-level Heart Institute.

More than 600 guests attended the dedication of a new, patient-centered main entrance, lobby and Heart Institute at St. Joseph Medical Center. The distinctive, light- and nature-filled lobby was designed to be calming, healing and efficient – registration, admission and testing are just steps away from the main entrance. The new, three-level Heart Institute is a hospital-within-a-hospital that groups all cardiac services under one roof. The new construction was partially funded by a $17 million capital campaign led by St. Joseph Medical Center’s Foundation. Numerous pieces of art and the restoration of the chapel in the expansion’s Spiritual Center were funded through individual gifts.
