Mission and Ministry Fund Awards More Than $2 Million in Grants

On July 1, CHI’s Mission and Ministry Fund awarded 19 grants to improve and sustain the health of local communities in the U.S. and around the world. The grants total more than $2 million. Since it was established in 1996, the Mission and Ministry Fund has awarded more than 200 grants totaling approximately $26 million. Mission and Ministry Fund grants support innovative projects designed to improve the health of a community, often by serving disadvantaged individuals or populations. “In the past 12 years, these grants have had a major impact on improving the health of communities across the U.S. and abroad,” said Kevin Lofton, president and CEO. “One of CHI’s key goals is to serve communities outside the walls of our hospitals and health care facilities. These grants serve as one very vital part of that outreach.” A complete list of grants is available. Back
