McElligott to Be CEO of Saint Francis
Daniel McElligott, chief operating officer of Saint Francis Medical Center, Grand Island, Neb., was named president and chief executive officer of Saint Francis, effective July 1. He succeeds Mike Gloor, who earlier this year announced his plans to resign to run for a seat in the Nebraska Legislature. McElligott joined Saint Francis in July 1995 as vice president of finance and chief financial officer. He has served in his current role since June 2003. Prior to joining Saint Francis, McElligott was controller of Parkview Community Hospital Medical Center, Riverside, Calif. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Nebraska-Omaha, where he graduated magna cum laude. He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
