Campbell to Lead Centura Health

The Board of Directors of Centura Health named Gary Campbell president and chief executive officer of Centura Health, Denver, Colo., effective July 7. Campbell is currently senior vice president and group executive officer for Catholic Health Initiatives. Centura Health, a joint operating agreement between Catholic Health Initiatives and PorterCare Adventist Health System, includes 12 hospitals and is Colorado’s largest group of hospitals and health care services. Before joining Catholic Health Initiatives in December 2004, Campbell had served as executive vice president of Mercy Health System, Cincinnati, Ohio; chief executive officer of the Heart Center of Indiana; and president and chief executive officer of Lake Hospital System, Willoughby, Ohio. He holds a master’s degree in hospital and health administration from Xavier University, Cincinnati, Ohio, and a bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo.
