Catholic Health Initiatives published the ninth edition of Sacred Stories, its ongoing series of books that collect stories of moments of lived spirituality at work. “These stories are written by employees, physicians, volunteers and others associated with Catholic Health Initiatives,” said Patrick Gaughan, vice president of ministry formation for Catholic Health Initiatives. “They are powerful examples of our ministry culture: how our employees find meaning in what they do, where they experience the action of the Spirit in their work lives, and what enrichment they discover in their relationships with others in ministry. As examples of our core values in action, they provide rich material for reflections, prayers and the daily inspiration that helps us continue the healing ministry of Jesus.” For the first time, the ninth edition of Sacred Stories includes suggested questions for reflection at the end of each story. “The intent of these questions is to help readers reflect on a story and consider how its message might apply to their own lives and work,” said Gaughan. “I hope they prove to be useful to our leaders and staff.” To receive copies of Sacred Stories, contact your organization’s mission or communications leader or Ann-Marie Jackson, at
