Good Samaritan in Kearney Hosts Assistant Secretary of HHS

Admiral John Agwunobi, MD, assistant secretary of health for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, spoke with members of the media upon arriving at Good Samaritan Hospital, Kearney, Neb., a stop on the “A Healthier US Starts Here” national bus tour.

Good Samaritan Hospital, Kearney, Neb., hosted Admiral John Agwunobi, MD, assistant secretary of health for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services during the “A Healthier US Starts Here” national bus tour, sponsored by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. The national bus tour, which will include each of the 48 contiguous states, promotes the importance of preventing chronic disease and illness. Good Samaritan was the only hospital in Nebraska visited by the bus tour. While at Good Samaritan, Agwunobi toured the Healthy Living Center and learned more about the hospital’s successful telemedicine, cancer rehabilitation, cancer screening and tai chi programs.
