Quality Scores Rank Mercy Among Nation’s Top Hospitals

Mercy Regional Medical Center, Durango, Colo., ranked in the top 10 percent of U.S. hospitals in nine different process of care measures. The indicators are tracked as part of the Hospital Quality Alliance (HQA), a public-private partnership led by the American Hospital Association, the Federation of American Hospitals and the Association of American Medical Colleges, in collaboration with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. The measures show how often hospitals provide some of the care recommended for patients who have surgery or are treated for heart attack, heart failure or pneumonia.
