St. Joseph’s Area Health Services Breaks Ground for Expansion |

St. Joseph’s Area Health Services, Park Rapids, Minn., along with Dakota Clinic, broke ground on June 5 for a $26 million renovation and expansion project. Ben Koppelman, president and chief executive officer of St. Joseph’s, said the ceremony celebrated the visibility of a new era on the St. Joseph’s campus. The project will enable St. Joseph’s and Dakota Clinic to provide medical services under one roof, in a more cost-effective manner and in a patient-friendly environment. Other speakers at the event, which thanked community members for their support, included Helen Keezer, chair of the St. Joseph’s Board; Larry Leadbetter, MD, medical director for Dakota Clinic; Mark Schick, chair of the St. Joseph’s Foundation Board; and Larry Solberg, chief executive officer of Dakota Clinic and Innovis Health, Fargo, N.D.
