Ivy Honored with St. Elizabeth Seton Award

Celestia Koebel, SC, of the Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati, presents the St. Elizabeth Seton Award to Charles Ivy, president and executive director of St. Joseph Community Health, Albuquerque, N.M.

The Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati honored Charles Ivy, president and executive director of St. Joseph Community Health, Albuquerque, N.M., with the St. Elizabeth Seton Award. The award recognizes individuals who demonstrate service in their lives in a manner consistent with the sisters’ spirit of leadership, community mindfulness and compassion. Celestia Koebel, SC, nominated Ivy for the St. Elizabeth Seton Award. “Charlie has emulated the spirit of St. Elizabeth Anne Seton, foundress of the Sisters of Charity, by his commitment and dedication to the poor and under served people of Albuquerque,” said Sister Celestia.

“Through his 31 years of service, both to the former St. Joseph’s Hospital and in his current position with St. Joseph Community Health, he has truly lived out the mission and values of the Sisters of Charity.”
