TriHealth Makes Land Purchase

In response to population growth and overall community needs, TriHealth, Cincinnati, Ohio, announced that it has purchased 15 acres of land as part of a long-term growth strategy. The land, located in Butler County, Ohio, was purchased from Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center for $3.6 million. The property gives TriHealth the ability to build a medical facility in Liberty Township, where the population is expected to more than double to 86,000 by the year 2030. “This land offers us the flexibility to study the needs of patient in this region and develop a long-term plan that will address the community needs well into the future,” said John Prout, president and chief executive officer of TriHealth. Development of the land is expected to begin within 18 to 24 months. Preliminary plans for the facility include adult ambulatory services with a full array of outpatient services, as well as primary and specialty care physician offices.
